Juliet Terrill

Juliet (she/her) is a lifelong multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of experience in bass and guitar who has toured internationally with a wide array of musical groups. She has a bachelors of arts in music from Sam Houston State University, and has held a longtime passion for teaching as well as performing. Juliet’s goal is to help each student discover the true artist that dwells within them.

What age were you when you first started taking music lessons?
17 years old
Tell us about an early music lessons experience that helped shape you as a musician or teacher:
In second grade, I had a music teacher who encouraged me to play glockenspiel because of my tendency to tap on everything, and that encouragement led me to playing all the instruments I could get my hands on!
What are your favorite bands or musicians?

They might be giants, Masayoshi Takanaka, Tally hall, The wood brothers, The Blue Hearts.

Do you have a highlight of your music career so far that you would like to share?
Being on a billboard in Times Square!
Describe your ideal student.
Any student who’s willing to try hard and possibly sound bad!
Describe what your students should expect in their first few music lessons.
Setting expectations, discussing what music the student enjoys, and figuring out where they’re at with their skills!
Why did you want to become a music teacher?
Music has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve wanted to share it as much as possible!
